Booking, Cancellation, and Refund Policy (USA)
This Booking, Cancellation, and Refund Policy ("Policy") applies to all reservations made through the Staydeed website and related services within the United States. By making a reservation, you agree to be legally bound by this Policy.
Role of Staydeed
Staydeed operates as an online booking platform and acts solely as an intermediary between users ("Guests") and third-party accommodation providers ("Properties"). Staydeed is not the owner, operator, or manager of any listed Property.
Booking Terms
All reservations are subject to the specific terms, conditions, house rules, and policies of the applicable Property. These terms are disclosed prior to booking and incorporated by reference into this Policy.
Cancellation Policy
- Free Cancellation: Certain reservations allow cancellation without penalty until the deadline specified at the time of booking.
- Non-Refundable Reservations: Reservations identified as non-refundable are not eligible for cancellation, modification, or refund.
- Late Cancellation: Cancellations made after the stated cancellation deadline may result in charges up to and including the full reservation amount.
- Partial Refunds: Where permitted, cancellation fees may be applied, and any remaining balance may be refunded.
- No-Show: Failure to check in on the scheduled arrival date without prior cancellation may result in the full reservation amount being charged.
Payment Terms
- Advance Payment: Some reservations require full or partial payment at the time of booking.
- Payment at Property: Other reservations permit payment directly to the Property at check-in.
Payment methods, timing, and authorization requirements are determined by the Property and disclosed before booking confirmation.
Reservation Modifications
All modification requests, including changes to dates, length of stay, or guest details, are subject to availability and the Property’s policies. Additional charges, rate differences, or fees may apply.
Refund Policy
Refund eligibility and amounts are governed strictly by the cancellation terms applicable to the reservation. Refund processing times may vary depending on financial institutions, payment processors, or card issuers. Staydeed does not guarantee processing timelines beyond initiating eligible refunds.
Security Deposits & Pre-Authorizations
Certain Properties may require a refundable security deposit or a temporary authorization hold on a payment card. Such amounts are managed by the Property and refunded subject to inspection and compliance with the Property’s damage policies.
Force Majeure
Neither Staydeed nor the Property shall be liable for failure or delay in performance resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, public health emergencies, labor disputes, or utility failures. Any refunds or accommodations in such cases are at the Property’s discretion unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable U.S. law, Staydeed shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to a reservation, including but not limited to cancellations, overbookings, or Property actions.
Governing Law and Venue
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State designated in Staydeed’s Terms of Service, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Prevailing Terms
In the event of any conflict between this Policy and the specific terms disclosed at the time of booking, the booking-specific terms shall control.
